"Super Panel" and Advanced In-Vehicle Connectivity Solutions Headline Visteon Activities at Telematics Detroit 2014
VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) will showcase its latest in-vehicle connectivity solutions and discuss the auto-mobility revolution June 4-5 at Telematics Detroit 2014 in Novi, Michigan. Attendees can experience the latest advancements at Visteon's booth (#27) and hear from technology experts, including Global Director of Innovation and Design Tim Yerdon. Yerdon will join executives from Ford, General Motors, Kia and Panasonic Automotive on this year's Telematics Detroit Super Panel.
A highlight of Visteon's display is a demonstration vehicle equipped with a 4G LTE Telematics System with Wi-Fi Hotspot. This global product reduces manufacturing complexity because it is built on a single hardware architecture that supports regional requirements through unique modem implementations. Developed in partnership with Autonet Mobile, the system incorporates not only a telematics control unit (TCU), but OS software, apps and cloud services for a complete end-to-end solution.

Visteon's Telematics System provides infotainment services for all vehicle occupants to access local and cloud content through the Wi-Fi hotspot or 4G LTE network. Premium telematics services connect the vehicle to mobile devices and the Internet of Things to enable remote diagnostics, remote commands (vehicle start, door lock/unlock, etc.) and concierge apps (Find My Car, Parental Controls, etc.).
Also on display are Visteon's OpenAir infotainment products that are based on open architecture, human-machine interaction (HMI) command and controls, and off-board wireless data connections:

Visteon thought leaders will be addressing the latest telematics trends and challenges facing the automotive industry during several panel discussions.
