Two Austin Millennials Launch Crowd-funding Campaign for Nationwide Entrepreneur Web Series(August 22, 2014)
Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 22, 2014
On August 20th, 2014, Brandy Shea, 23, and Bryndan Thomas, 22, launched a 30-day Indiegogo campaign for their upcoming entrepreneur video series, Quality Thrives, which will document the lives of 250 everyday entrepreneurs. The campaign is set to run through September 18th, and has a funding goal of $4,000.
The Quality Thrives web series will officially launch on October 10th and will cover entrepreneurs from 17 different US cities, ranging from New York, NY to Portland, OR. The stories will be distributed via Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube, as well as on the Quality Thrives website. Upon completion of the journey, a Quality Thrives book will be released which will feature photos and inspirational quotes from all 250 entrepreneurs.
Interviews with Austin Entrepreneurs
Shea and Thomas have already conducted interviews with a variety of Austin, as well as Dallas and Houston, business entrepreneurs, including Christine Stafford and Kelly Curtis, brand managers for W3ll People Cosmetics, Kelly Holt, founder of the Austin Phoenix Magazine, Luke McCoy and Mike Schmidt, founders of Event Driven LLC, Jackie Venson, a local Austin musician, and more. An interview with Andi Cheathum, founder of the HOPE Outdoor Gallery in Austin has also been scheduled for August 26th.
Seeing our video was very empowering for us. Theres just a different perspective you get when hear yourself in a third-party moment, rather than whats going on in your head, said Kelly Curtis, brand manager for W3ll People Cosmetics.
Shea was recently featured on The Cerrone Show, a popular iTunes podcast that features the movers and shakers of the entrepreneurial world. Theyre turning the spotlight onto everyday entrepreneurs, who dont always get the spotlight. Theyre also showcasing the blood, sweat, and tears that go into running a business, and its about time that someone does that, said show host Chris Cerrone.
The Quality Thrives Indiegogo campaign provides perks for donors such as bumper stickers, t-shirts, and the opportunity to have an exclusive promotional video made about the donating business owner or entrepreneur.
Providing Free Quality Branding Strategy to Entrepreneurs
In addition to the web series, Shea, who is also a professional web and graphic designer, is offering free branding strategy assistance for one business per quarter through the teams marketing business, Mile One Creative, which caters to startups and entrepreneurs.
Shea and Thomas work closely with small businesses and understand the difficulties a business faces if they do not have a sound branding strategy in place. They plan to work with one business per quarter free of charge in order to help the business setup up well-designed marketing materials and teach other entrepreneurs the value of investing in quality branding collateral for their business.
One of the main goals in launching Quality Thrives is to help new and struggling entrepreneurs feel proud of what theyve accomplished, which can be tough if their business is not represented with well-designed materials. Hopefully this program will help entrepreneurs understand the value of investing in quality for their business, says Brandy Shea, Founder of Quality Thrives.
