The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music Hosts Maestros of the Future Camp Final Concert

Saint Paul, MN (PRWEB) August 01, 2014

The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music is wrapping up its Maestros of the Future camp with a final concert at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7. The children will perform for parents and friends and celebrate the end of a week of fun, music and learning.

Maestros of the Future is a music and leadership workshop for children ages 13-17. This four-day experience helps teens become future leaders, while learning chamber music from camp director Rena Kraut. The children play in duets, trios and quartets with their peers in addition to participating in workshops and presentations.

This year, the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 4-7. Each day includes two or three hours of performance as well as a number of leadership and community-building activities. At the start of the camp, each student establishes a goal they wish to accomplish during their time at the camp and set out to reach it.

Maestros of the Future culminates with an end-of-the-week performance from the students, the final concert. The concert is open to parents, family members, friends and the general public, and will be held at the University Club locaated at 420 Summit Ave., Saint Paul, MN.
