Russian Hacker Problem Revealed During the SHARE Conference

Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 18, 2014

Timing is everything. On Wednesday, August 6, John Rhodes, CM First CTO, presented Technical Debt - The Cost in Performance and Security, to a rapt audience of SHARE attendees in Pittsburgh - https://share.confex.com/share/123/webprogram/Session15955.html. Many people understand that technical debt badly written code can cause serious maintenance issues and make it hard to modernize. What they dont know is that the same code exposes companies to security risks and performance problems.

During the SHARE week, the news of the stolen passwords spread among the attendees, quickly making any security-related session even more compelling. CM First has been known in the industry for technical debt remediation, yet hadnt before had the opportunity to make such a compelling argument for addressing the problem now.

Customers may believe that the effort and cost can be deferred, notes Christoph Heinrich. In fact, the more CM First works with companies on technical debt, the more the technical staff becomes aware of the many issues and concerns raised by code problems. Security is a newer focus for remediation.

CM First offers a faster, more reliable and more cost-effective solution to the technical debt problem. When added the security and performance implications to the reasons to remediate, many companies may begin to understand how costly it is to ignore the problem. SHARE has been in existence for over five decades providing high-quality education and resources in the realm of enterprise computing. The biannual meeting held in Pittsburgh drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, giving Rhodes the opportunity to spread the word. For SHARE members who missed the event, the presentations are available on the SHARE website. http://www.share.org.
