Project Yesu Founder Mallory Fundora Announces New Breakfast Program for Students in Uganda on Core of Education(January 15, 2014)
(PRWEB) January 15, 2014
Mallory Fundora, the 13-year-old founder of Project Yesu, told Dr. Rod Berger of the Core of Education about a new program the foundation is launching to feed 50 - 100 kids breakfast before school in the Acholi Quarter in Uganda. It is a major problem in this area of Uganda, and the Tennessee middle school student is raising funds to help solve it.
"It's a proven fact that kids do better in school when they have a full stomach," Mallory says. "A lot of people in Uganda can't afford to feed their kids breakfast. I wanted to start a program for it."
This new program is an addition to Project Yesu's Musima Sponsorship Program. That program has 112 kids, twelve of whom have been sponsored. The money raised in this program ($25 a month per child) is used to put the child in school, which is not free in Uganda. Mallory plans to visit Uganda again in the summer of 2014.
