New TSAnalyzer monitoring application and scheduled MPEG program recording
(February 06, 2014)
Mediaproxy Pty. Ltd. a global leader for broadcast compliance logging and content monitoring solutions, announced the next generation of its LogServer IP software, which now includes a new QC and monitoring TSAnalyzer application and scheduled DVR-style recording.
LogServer IP provides a scalable and highly cost-effective software-based native MPEG streaming server solution. It combines RTSP based IPTV applications, transport stream monitoring, a flexible IP multi-viewer and multi-channel review application. Scalable to hundreds of single and multi-program transport streams across a linked network of servers, LogServer IP also seamlessly integrates with LogServer ASI providing an easy upgrade path for existing customers.
TSAnalyzer is a new application, which provides powerful transport stream analysis for DVB and ATSC compliant network stream, file-based and existing LogServer sources. Available for Windows desktop and server platforms as well as a rich HTML5 web application, transport stream monitoring is now available across several Windows platforms including all mobile devices. Unlimited licenses of TSAnalyzer are included with every LogServer IP purchase.
Featuring a versatile toolset for transport stream analysis, TSAnalyzer supports a wide range of stream types and formats. Beyond forensics on file-based and live network stream sources, TSAnalyzer allows for seamless connection to any LogServer ASI or IP. Once connected, extensive Closed Caption (CEA 608/708 and OP42/47), ETR290 events andmultiple DVB Subtitles and Teletext sources are made available via the leading edge user interface.
Based on the industry leading LogPlayer user interface, LogPlayer IP provides intuitive access to all native MPEG streams recorded by LogServer ASI or LogServer IP. Users may extract sub-clips from entire transport streams or filter by embedded program streams. Up to six concurrent viewports allow for side-by-side playback of native MPEG media and reconstitution of detected TS metadata provides an efficient toolset for engineering analysis.
In addition to accessing the continuously recorded media, LogPlayer IP also offers a scheduling program. This DVR-style scheduled recording offers customers a very cost effective solution for competitive monitoring as they can pick and choose from hundreds of cable channels without using large and expensive storage arrays, when they are only interested in certain programs, not all of them.
Erik Otto, CEO, states, "LogServer IP offers the most cost effective and comprehensive native MPEG logging and monitoring suite of applications for broadcasters. Combining unlimited licenses for MPEG multi-viewing, multi-channel MPEG review, transport stream analysis, IPTV distribution and DVR-style scheduled recording provides incredible value for customers looking for a professional yet cost-effective logging and monitoring solution. Building on our decade of experience in the logging and monitoring arena, we continue to look ahead and innovate, continually offering new enhancements and products to meet broadcasters evolving needs."
