MJD Interactive Receives Three Official Honorees in the 18th Annual Webby Awards(April 10, 2014)

They were honored for Best Web Magazine - Vail Epic Life Magazine, Best Web Media Streaming Website - M-GO Dinner and a Download, and Mobile & Apps Best Use of GPS or Location Technology - Godzilla Encounter. Hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.
MJD, based in San Diego with offices in Los Angeles and Austin, was recognized alongside Internet luminaries including AdWeek, Conde Nast, Hearst Digital Media, Forbes, Warner Bros., and IDEO. They have the guts to break through boundaries and truly innovate in the digital space. Legendary created the most riveting experience ever at Comic-Con for the new Godzilla movie. They allowed us to pioneer mobile app geolocation and augmented reality technology. We worked with Vail Resorts to design and build an online lifestyle magazine that actually changes its content based on what article types the user visits. M-GO let us push the limits of what can be done with a responsive website experience. The 18th Annual Webby Awards received 12,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states. Out of all the 12,000 entries submitted, fewer than 15% received this honor and were deemed an Official Honoree. The IADAS, which nominates and selects The Webby Award Winners, is comprised of web industry experts, including media mogul Arianna Huffington, Skype CEO Tony Bates, Mozilla CEO and Chair Mitchell Baker, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, mobile-phone inventor Martin Cooper, and Creator of the Jif Steve Wilhite.
