Hunter Factory Tour Showcases Rapid Ramp for Medical OEMs
MILPITAS, Calif., April 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Hunter Technology Corp. will showcase its electronic manufacturing services at Rapid Ramp for Medical OEMs on April 17 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Hunter's new 62,500-square-foot facilities in Milpitas, Calif. The SV Hardware Startup-to-Scale event includes presentations by Nevro Corp. Founder and Sr. Vice President Andre Walker and Sr. Risk Management and Regulatory Expert Geetha Rao, Ph.D., followed by a factory tour. Nevro partnered with Hunter on the design for manufacturing and production of Nevro's Senza implantable neuro-stimulation system that delivers advanced spinal cord stimulation therapy for patients suffering chronic back and leg pain.
"Nevro received their CE mark and started production of Senza in 2010. In just two years we produced and shipped more than 1,000 units quite an accomplishment in the highly regulated and compliance-driven medical products industry," said Hunter Vice President of Sales and Programs Chris Alessio. "Now, as Nevro runs clinical studies to support US FDA approval, they continue to rely on us to integrate design changes, meet ISO 13485 and FDA standards, and keep production quantities as high as possible."
Hunter optimizes its clients' operations by lowering costs and reducing time-to-market through the use of innovative design and engineering solutions combined with vertical integration. Clients include OEM leaders in high reliability industries such as medical, networking, test, measurement, defense and aerospace.
Hunter is also a supporter of SV Hardware Startup-to-Scale, a group dedicated to raising awareness about Silicon Valley hardware product development and manufacturing. Attendees may register for the event at http://www.meetup.com/SV-Hardware-Startup-to-Scale/events/169527492/
