Facilities Asset Management Software Provider eSSETS Upgrades EAM Application With Release of Version 6.0(June 25, 2014)
Springfield, MO (PRWEB) June 25, 2014
eSSETS (http://www.essets.com), a leading developer of web-based asset management software, announced today upgrades to its suite of tools and services geared toward managing facilities and other long-term assets. After extensive development, Release 6.0 is now available, resulting in even more sophisticated and user-friendly features.
To overcome inefficiencies, and the surplus of data produced within many asset management software systems, Release 6.0 now incorporates enhanced filtering capability to eliminate noise associated with too much data. As explained by CEO Paul Roberts, a new More Filters button launches an innovative dialog box, allowing facility managers to fine tune selections and target more specific combinations of filtering criteria.
The status of vendor/contractor assignments, staff work, completion dates and more are now better organized and simplified. In addition, the entry form for Service Requests has been streamlined, providing greater visibility and control over who gets notified. A new grid is automatically populated when selections are made, and the elapsed time to complete requests is now shown on the Activities Report, providing a basis for multi-dimensional response time performance metrics.
By further leveraging the power and convenience of the Internet, Release 6.1 will soon deliver even more functions in minimum time. A new SmartQ feature will provide location-based intelligence to eSSETS facility software. Roberts notes, SmartQ will allow system administrators to define relevant lists of Places and Things for all staff making facilities asset management requests. Improved asset labeling is also on the horizon. 6.1 will provide for a more modern labeling alternative by incorporating the use of two-dimensional QR Codes. Vital asset information, including lifecycle and maintenance history, will be a click away via built-in smartphone or iPhone/iPad cameras, eliminating the need for specialized barcode readers.
