City Of Pharr Fire Department Purchases VidTac In-Vehicle Camera System for Front-Line Fire Apparatus

(September 03, 2014)

DALLAS, Sept. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCQB: COYN), which sells the
nation's premier software-driven video system and operates the
nation's largest law enforcement mobile data information system,
announced that the City of Pharr Fire Department has
purchased the company's VidTac software-driven video system for use
in the city's front-line fire apparatus.

Video System Capabilities Extended to
Fire Department

The VidTac® software-driven system uses the
power of existing in-vehicle computers and eliminates the need for
a separate DVR (digital video recorder).  Its ultra-compact
camera (3 by 2.5 by 2 inches) simultaneously captures both
full-motion HD video and high-resolution five megapixel still
images. The system records at resolutions of up to 1080p, which
provides more than 10 times the image detail of standard resolution
analog cameras. By eliminating the need for a DVR, the VidTac
system sells for about half the price of other high-end systems on
the market.

"This was an easy decision for me," said City of
Pharr Fire Chief Jaime R. Guzman. "The real-time situational
awareness provided by a video system facilitates an effective
response when responding to a fire emergency. The video record can
also be used for protection of the crew or as evidence relating to
the incident itself. The ability of the VidTac system to capture
video at all times that the equipment is operational, even when not
in 'record' mode, was extremely important to the department.
We believe this use of in-vehicle video by Pharr will set a
precedent to be followed by other fire departments throughout Texas
and the U.S."

"The innovative VidTac software-driven video
system has been reviewed by the Pharr IT  department, and we
recognize this as the right technology for our front line fire
units," said Jason Arms, the city's Director of Innovation &
Technology. He continued, "This will be a great asset to the city's
first responders and our citizens. I am proud that the Pharr fire
department is the first in the nation to adopt this needed and
innovative technology."

About the VidTac System

Because the VidTac system is software driven,
the architecture is flexible enough to be adapted to the unique
requirements of a fire department. With the purchase of the
versatile VidTac video system, the city's fire department will
enjoy the following rich array of features and functionality, many
of which heretofore were only available to law enforcement
agencies:

·         Up to 1080p
digital video resolution

·         Streaming video
feeds from fire engine to fire command center

·         "Back in time"
retrieval of video footage from days and weeks earlier, even
without a "triggered event"

·         Capture 5
Megapixel still photos of by-standers observing a fire or casualty
scene

·         GPS auto vehicle
location between the city's fire and police command centers

·         Crisis
communication via DATA connectivity between the fire and police

·         Wireless video
off-load

·         Capability to
connect emergency management, EMS, fire, and police services via a
common GPS-based crisis communications portal

·         Enables fire
command center to have multiple views of fire and casualty scenes
from multiple fire apparatus on scene
